Job Title: IT Business Analyst (Microsoft Dynamics GP)
Position Type 12 month contract; may be extended.
OVERVIEW The IT Business Analyst ensures the optimal use of the Microsoft Dynamics GP system to meet the Quantum Group’s business and functional requirements. This position is responsible for the consultancy, design, implementation, integration, testing, transfer of knowledge, and successful delivery of Microsoft Dynamics GP solutions. The position will spend the majority of time analyzing current Dynamics GP practices and will develop clean, well-designed, well-documented, reusable solutions. This position will participate as a member of a special team with cross-functional member contribution.
DUTIES Core duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Serves as a consultant to collaborate with the Data Management Team to accomplish the company’s goals.
  • Analyze legacy work processes and flows for inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in overall corporate data structure.
  • Investigate, analyze, and identify key business requirements and issues.
  • Troubleshoot problems and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Research solution alternatives and provide comprehensive findings to Data Management Team.
  • Identify creative solutions for processes not typically accomplished by Dynamics GP.
  • Develop new processes and procedures as needed.
  • Provide documentation such as templates, best practices, etc. for new processes and procedures.
  • Ensure recommendations are viable, implemented, tested, and end user is trained.
  • Manage the work of consultants partnered with Quantum as assigned by the Data Management Team.
  • Any duties as reasonably assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however, management of 3rd party consultants contracted by Quantum and as assigned by the Data Management Team may be required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is required.
  • Proficient experience with related Microsoft Dynamics GP independent software vendor (ISV) products is required.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP modules including Manufacturing, Inventory and Order Processing, Core Financials, and Management Reporter is required.
  • 3+ years of consultancy experience is preferred.
  • Experience using data integration software such as EConnect or Kingswaysoft is preferred.
  • 5+ years of Accountancy experience is preferred.
  • Prior Certified Public Accountant licensure is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand and document business data requirements in complete, accurate, extensible and flexible logical data models.
  • Able to facilitate discussions between technology and business people, recognize issues of conflict and inconsistency between data requirements and pursue a resolution of these issues.
  • Expertise in working as a business partner to develop gap/needs analysis, identify the appropriate solution(s), execute, and measure the results.
  • Ability to transfer working knowledge from developer to end user.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities in order to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, and collaborative attitude with the ability to work independently or cooperatively in a team environment and across departmental lines.
  • Professionalism and ability to use tact, discretion, and skill when interacting with Company employees and 3rd party consultants.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships.
TRAVEL This position does not require travel.

Job Title: Service Technician I
FLSA: Hourly; Non-Exempt; Full-Time
OVERVIEW Service Technicians are integral customer facing employees tasked with ensuring the continuous operation and service of Quantum Marine Stabilizer Systems worldwide. Service Technicians install, troubleshoot, and repair Quantum systems. Quantum techs also retrofit third party equipment associated with marine stabilizer systems. Service Technicians must maintain and enhance the reputation and image of the Company through their dealings with shipyards, vessels, and customers.

Service Technician I: learn the various intricacies of Quantum Marine Stabilizers Systems and gain knowledge and experience on their maintenance and repair.

DUTIES Core duties include but are not limited to the following:

Service Functions

  • Provide comprehensive service and maintenance on Quantum equipment and third party retrofit conversion equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, analyze, and repair Quantum equipment and third party retrofit conversion equipment.
  • Assist, when needed, shipyards, vessel technicians, and onboard engineering staff with Quantum equipment installation and repair.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
  • Maintain tools in safe operating conditions.
  • Maintain clean, organized, supplied, and in safe assigned individual tool boxes.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and supplied any Job Site Box, or Service Vehicle used.
  • Upon inspection and completion of service work, promptly generate Site Visit Reports in accordance with department requirements.
  • Generate Equipment Failure Reports as needed and when required.
  • After traveling, promptly generate accurate Expense Reports.
  • Maintain daily accurate Sales Service Call Logs in accordance with department requirements.
  • Follow current company travel arrangement procedures to ensure service trips are properly scheduled.
  • Any and all duties as reasonably assigned.


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience servicing stabilizers on marine vessels required.
  • 3-5 years of experience with electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on marine vessels required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.
  • Intuitive ability to use smartphones and various smartphone applications to perform various company tasks, and stay in communication with management.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to accurately multi-task in order to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, and collaborative attitude with the ability to work well with all levels of Quantum employees, shipyard customers, vessel customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from shipyard and vessel customers.
  • Ability to apply electrical, mechanical and hydraulics concepts, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of common and uncommon technical documents, drawings, and instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and fixed variables (i.e. hydraulic schematics, AutoCAD drawings, etc.).
TRAVEL This position requires extensive domestic and international travel, occasionally for extended periods of time. While all efforts will be made to cooperatively schedule the travel and the time spent away from the office, this position necessitates the flexibility to work unsociable hours, extended hours, and to travel with minimal-to-no notice. When not working at a customer site the normal work location will be the main office. A valid passport and driver’s license is a requirement of this position.
