Underway & Zero Speed Transitioning
Easy and seamless transition between Underway to Zero Speed™. Control System automatically transitions without the need for manual input.
The Quantum Control System is the brain or the “command center” for every Quantum Stabilizer, orchestrating the integrated components, to work in harmony, achieving peak performance. The controls feature vessel-specific, customized algorithms that direct the power, oil pressure and movements of the fins or rotors. In fact, it is the controls that truly differentiate the performance of a stabilizer, also separating Quantum from the competition.
Quantum’s stabilizer control technology is designed to optimize roll reduction. Each Quantum control system automatically senses changes in the vessel’s motions and sends adaptive, real-time signals to the stabilizer system.
The control interprets the roll angle and roll velocity from the roll sensor. It then uses that data, along with Quantum’s propriety algorithms, to determine and direct the optimal fin activity to reduce the roll of the vessel.
5000S: The most Advanced Stabilizer Control
From Operational Advantages to Improved Reliability and Advanced Capabilities, the 5000S Control System will take Quantum and System Users into the Future.
Quantum’s 5000S defines a major leap in stabilizer control technology. Conveniently, it is built using a modular programming architecture, which allows for easy integration between existing and new stabilizer systems.
Easy and seamless transition between Underway to Zero Speed™. Control System automatically transitions without the need for manual input.
Adaptive Zero Speed™ control algorithm improves performance during short wave periods.
The 5000S can automatically detect the roll period, and seamlessly adjust the settings to combat the roll, for an ultra-smooth ride.
HMI is designed for a more intuitive UI experience and simplified operation. The auto mode gains are numerically displayed for reference; these gain values can be applied to manual mode, ensuring consistent performance.
The fin “centered” position can be customized for Zero Speed™ and underway mode. Fins and rotors can be individually activated and directed from the main controller, minimizing roll and ensuring safety when deploying tenders, jet skis, or submarines.
The closed-loop algorithm is now integrated into the main controller, improving system response time. Zero Speed™ Eco-mode reduces fin action in calm conditions, saving power and operational costs. Meanwhile, stabilizer data can be seamlessly exchanged with a glass bridge interface.
Integrated VPN and Viewer provide secured, remote access for software updates, troubleshooting, and data recording—eliminating delays and the expense of site visits. Additionally, the main controller can record inputs before and after an alarm event for later diagnosis.
Certified industrial-grade controller allows easy replacement of faulty components, unlike earlier PCB-based controls that required complete unit replacement.
If signals are lost affecting other equipment, the feed can be easily redirected from one source to another via the Settings Page. Alarms and system warnings include a notification option with detailed descriptions.
Advanced Ship Motion Control with Touch Screen
The Ship Motion Control (SMC) 4000 is Quantum’s first touch screen control that features adaptive logic, tailored to accommodate various boat specifications and operating conditions. It is ideal for zero speed™ and underway performance.
Adaptive Roll Control for Underway Only & Zero Speed
Quantum’s conventional series of Adaptive Stabilizer Controls, the ARC3000 series, is comprised of the ARC3000 unit, developed for conventional underway performance, and the ARC3001, developed for both underway and Zero Speed stabilization.
