Since 1985, Quantum has pioneered the most advanced marine stabilizing technologies for underway and Zero Speed.
Next Generation Yacht Stabilization Technology
Quantum Zero Speed™ stabilizers generate supreme stability at all speeds. The performance of the stabilizers is controlled by the speed, conditions, and vessel requirements which are programmed into the algorithms, allowing for precise roll reduction.
Equipped with Zero Speed™ stabilizers, luxury yachts can anchor virtually anywhere. From an afternoon anchored in the Mediterranean to seeing humpback whales in Alaska, the high-tech Quantum Stabilizers allow you to select your favorite destinations without requiring perfect sea conditions.
Quantum’s latest innovations e-FIN and F45 have fuel savings of up to 80% underway and 60% at Zero Speed, saving owners money and leading to a more sustainable yachting experience while still delivering perfect stability at anchor and underway.
Minimizing the roll of a vessel is an essential part of enjoying the luxurious lifestyle intended when yachting. Comfort like this doesn’t happen by accident– Experience the peace and relaxation of Quantum engineering.

The stabilizer is the component persuading from the ships hull. All Quantum systems are active stabilizers, meaning they move to reduce roll. Depending on the yacht, this may be a fin, extendable XT Fin, MAGLift rotor using the Magnus effect, or Dyna-Foil.
The Power unit is what powers the stabilizer. While most systems on larger yachts have been powered by Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) in the past, Quantum additionally offers a hydraulic/electric hybrid solution with the F45, and a fully-electric solution with the e-FIN.
The hull unit links the stabilizer with the power unit, with the main shaft penetrating the hull. The hydraulic cylinders on the top of the hull unit rotate the main shaft, moving the stabilizers precisely as required to counteract roll.
The Control’s sensors measure rolling motion, angle an velocity and senses changes in the vessel’s motion. Quantum’s propriety algorithms then determine and direct the required fin activity to counteract roll by moving fins or rotors. Our 5000S Control System is the latest stabilization technology featuring precise motion control and an advanced UX.

Ideal for Zero Speed™ to 14 Knots
Based upon the “Magnus Effect,” a phenomenon where a rotating cylinder creates lift (stabilization) proportional to the speed and direction of the rotation. It is perfect for slow/loitering speed or zero speed™ applications, delivering precise stabilization.
Innovation in Quantum Zero Speed™
XT™ is the most popular system to date. The term XT™ refers to “extended,” whereby the main stabilizer fin houses another fin or foil, designed to extend or retract based on the speed of the vessel.
