Overview
Quantum Service Technicians are essential customer facing employees who are tasked with ensuring the continual operation and service of Quantum Systems worldwide. Service Technicians are involved in installing, troubleshooting, and repair of Quantum systems and retrofit third party equipment associated with marine stabilizer systems. Service Technicians must maintain and enhance the reputation and image of the Company through their dealings with shipyards, vessels, and customers.

Duties
Core duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide comprehensive service and maintenance on Quantum equipment and third party retrofit conversion equipment.
- Troubleshoot, identify, analyzes, and repair Quantum equipment and third party retrofit conversion equipment.
- Assist, when needed, shipyards and vessel technicians with Quantum equipment installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
- Maintain tools in safe operating conditions.
- Maintain clean, organized, supplied, and in safe operation the assigned individual toolboxes.
- Maintain clean, organized, and supplied, any Job Site Box, or Service Vehicle used.
- Upon inspection and completion of service work, promptly generate Site Visit Reports in accordance with department requirements.
- Generate Equipment Failure Reports as needed and when required.
- After traveling, promptly generate accurate Expense Reports.
- Maintain daily accurate Sales Service Call Logs in accordance with department requirements.
- Follow current company travel arrangement procedures to ensure service trips are properly scheduled.
- Any and all duties as reasonably assigned.
Education / Knowledge
- High school diploma, GED are required.
- 0-5 years of experience servicing stabilizers on marine vessels is required.
- 0-5 years of experience with electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on marine vessels is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required.
- Intuitive ability to use smartphones and various smartphone applications to perform various company tasks and stay in communication with management.

- Detail oriented with the ability to accurately multi-task in order to meet deadlines.
- Proactive, and collaborative attitude with the ability to work well with all levels of Company employees, shipyard customers, vessel customers, vendors, and suppliers.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from shipyard and vessel customers.
- Ability to apply electrical, mechanical and hydraulics concepts, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of common and uncommon technical documents, drawings, and instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and fixed variables (i.e., hydraulic schematics, AutoCAD drawings, etc.).
Travel
This position requires domestic and international travel, occasionally for experienced technicians. Therefore, a valid passport is required for this role. While all efforts will be made to schedule the travel and the time spent away from the office, this position may require flexibility to work unsociable hours, extended hours, and to travel with minimal to no notice. When not working at a customer’s site the normal work location will be the main office. A valid passport and driver’s license is a requirement of this position.
Work Conditions
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position operates primarily in shipyards inside and outside of vessels including engine rooms, which can be confined/restrictive spaces. The work involves prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling. The work will be performed inside and outside of vessels and shipyards with varying degrees of temperatures. This role routinely uses standard manufacturing and marine equipment such as hand and power tools. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms). The employee will regularly be maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as hand trucks, forklifts, and passenger vehicles. Proper training and certification of forklift use will be provided, if needed.

Experience
