Overview
The Project Engineer is an integral member of the engineering team and responsible for the coordination and engineering support of customer orders. The Project Engineer will provide technical and project support to the Project Managers and to other departments within the Quantum Group.

Duties
Core duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure each new equipment sale is properly engineered.
- Review and interpret contracts for technical content and accuracy.
- Communicate internally to troubleshoot and problem solve all technical, scheduling,
and supply issues.
- Assist Project Managers with accuracy of equipment placement within the vessel per
the customer’s specifications.
- Internally define the scope of supply and parts required to ensure technical and
contractual compliance.
- Assist with technical manual review and revisions.
- Provide engineering and project support to:
- Project Mangers for technical content and accuracy of sales quotes.
- Production and Materials teams, to ensure material requisition and production
continue according to schedule and quality requirements.
- Commissioning, Warranty, and Service teams, to address project or product
related issues.
- Assist with maintenance of product quality controls standards.
- Maintain the highest engineering and ethical standards.
- Any and all duties as reasonably assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education / Knowledge
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or related field or equivalent education,
training, and experience is required.
- 1+ years of experience in the marine industry is preferred.
- 1+ years of working experience within any engineering discipline is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, review, and interpret hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and
other technical drawings, documents, regulations, and journals is required.
- Experience and working knowledge with IFS ERP software is preferred.
- Experience and proficiency with 3D CAD software is required.
- Experience and working knowledge with AutoCAD, SolidEdge, or similar is preferred.
- Proficiency in the following programs is preferred: Rhino, MathCAD, MATLAB,
Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel) is required.
Skills / Abilities
- Highly organized with good time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills with strong proofreading/editing capabilities.
- Positive, inquisitive, proactive, and collaborative attitude with the ability to work well
with all Company employees, customers, vendors, suppliers, and the general public.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet the Company core
values.
- Build trust, communicate effectively, foster innovation, focus on the customer and
solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
- Exposure to regulatory agencies, such as ABS, Lloyds, DNV GL is preferred.
- Fluency in any of the following languages is an advantage; German, Dutch, French,
Spanish, and/or Italian.
Travel
Although this role does not routinely travel domestically or internationally, willingness and
ability to travel to customer sites and European offices is required. This position may require occasional local travel within driving distance. The ability and willingness to travel is required. A valid passport is a requirement of this position.
