Overview
The Training Coordinator provides structured learning and development support to the
global Service and Production teams. Working closely with Service Managers and the
Human Resources Manager, this role is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating,
and maintaining technical and operational training programs that support employee
development and align with business objectives, operational needs, and company
standards.
The Training Coordinator develops and maintains training curricula, instructional
materials, and learning content while administering and continuously improving the
Learning Management System (LMS). This position coordinates training activities, tracks
employee training progress, evaluates training effectiveness, and identifies opportunities
to enhance learning programs. The role also supports the consistent delivery of high-quality training to employees across all locations, ensuring the workforce has the
knowledge and skills needed to perform safely and effectively.

Duties
Core duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, maintain, and improve internal and external training courses.
- Manage and maintain Quantum University, the company’s LMS, ensuring training
content is accurate, current, organized, and accessible to learners.
- Plan and manage training development in coordination with the Service Managers
and HR Manager, and deliver training sessions in classroom, online, and in-field
formats.
- Provide training to shipyards and customers to enhance product knowledge,
optimize product performance, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Develop and provide the training courses and learning materials required to
support technician development needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary.
- Provide external training to shipyards and customers on product operation and
maintenance.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and continuously updates
training content to reflect current practices, emerging technologies, and
organizational development needs.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation for compliance and
tracking.
- Support knowledge transfer and subject matter development across roles.
- Any and all duties as reasonably assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education / Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, or related field or equivalent
education, training, and experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of marine, mechanical, or electrical systems within technical
environments is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Quantum’s equipment, including hydraulic,
electrical, and control systems.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic equipment operation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting.
- Experience with LMS and digital training tools is required.
- Experience with LMS 365 is preferred.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Understanding of competency-based technical training and development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical
audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel) is required.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is preferred.
Skills / Abilities
- Proficient in interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings and technical
documentation.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable and engaging
manner.
- Ability to translate identified training needs into practical courses, instructional
materials, and learning resources.
- Experienced delivering hands-on, field-based training.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize
multiple initiatives, manage competing deadlines, and deliver successful
outcomes.
- Ability to evaluate business needs, identify process improvements, and
recommend training solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships
across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally across
various departments.
- Experience delivering training to internal technicians and external stakeholders,
including customers and shipyard personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and stay current with evolving
technologies, methodologies, platforms, and systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in
writing.
Travel
This position requires frequent domestic and international travel to support training
initiatives and business operations. Travel includes visiting all company office locations at
least four (4) times per year and conducting onsite training for employees, customers,
and shipyard personnel at vessel locations. Regular travel is an essential function of this
position. A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally are required.
