All About the Quantum Spin-A-Thon 2026

On Saturday, March 21, we proudly hosted the second Quantum Spin-A-Thon at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters, and the event proved to be a grand success.

The Quantum Spin-A-Thon is our fundraising and community event, designed to bring the maritime industry together around a shared cause through spinning, sponsorship, and collaboration. First launched in 2024, the Spin-A-Thon is about uniting the global marine community, to better charities organizations and causes.

Quantum Spin-A-Thon Overview

2026 Spin-A-Thon Recap

Bringing together key players from across the maritime industry, this year’s Spin-A-Thon focused on supporting shipyard trade and crew training initiatives. Participants had the opportunity to direct their contributions toward either Captain Sandy’s Charities or UKSA. Together, they raised 50,000 USD, showing just how much the maritime community can achieve when it comes together.

The event was made possible thanks to the support of our sponsors, who funded 15 bikes and contributed a remarkable $35,000 through sponsorships alone. As in previous years, a spirit of friendly competition energized the room, most notably between Lürssen and Oceanco, who went head-to-head in the front row throughout the day.

The 2026 Results

Together, participants generated a total of 45,177 kJ in energy – enough to power an average home for half a day or charging a smartphone around 1,000 times. Emerging as this year’s top team was Professional Yacht Crew, generating an outstanding 4558 kJ of energy. The highest individual performance also came from the Professional Yacht Crew team, with Tommy Rush delivering the day’s most powerful ride of 550 kJ in a single half hour spin.

In addition to the cycling challenge, our charity auction raised a further $7,000. Auction items included a painting by Mezzz Design, a luxury interior set from Loom Luxury Linens, and a sailboat generously donated by John Allen.

From start to finish, the atmosphere remained dynamic and engaging. Riders took to the bikes from 10 AM through 5 PM, building momentum throughout the day and culminating in a high-energy final round that brought everyone together. The celebration continued into the evening at the Q Bar, where participants and supporters came together to celebrate a day of fundraising, camaraderie, and shared achievement.
