The Quantum XT™ (extendable) Fin Stabilizers for NAVY and Coast Guard applications are semi-retractable systems. The XT™ fin stabilizer system provides optimal stabilizer performance for ships at zero speed™, loitering and underway through fin variations. For zero speed™ operations, the foil extends out of the pocket, increasing the effective fin area by 30%, while generating 100% more lift force and greatly improving the zero speed™ performance. For underway operations, the foil remains retracted to minimize the drag while still effectively stabilizing the vessel.
