The Dutch yard builds one-of-a-kind, ground-breaking superyachts for the world’s most demanding superyacht enthusiasts, often working from concepts and ideas that push beyond expectations and boundaries. Oceanco often works with ambitious, non-conformist yacht owners, partners and pioneering co-makers who wish to challenge the status quo to create the next generation of superyachts.

They are known for building yachts of the highest standards and setting new technical achievement, design, and efficiency benchmarks. As a bespoke yacht builder, Oceanco also provides full yacht refits, maintenance, and lifetime extension services.

The shipyard is committed to becoming the world’s most sustainable yacht builder, investing in ecological enhancements and sustainable policies throughout its business to achieve zero environmental impact.

Oceanco was established in 1987 by a group of South African investors. In 2002, Greek shipping magnate Theodore Angelopoulos took over the business, focusing on the niche mega yacht market. In 2010, the business was acquired by a private investor based in Oman. Today, the company is overseen by CEO Marcel Onkenhout, who has been with Oceanco for more than 20 years.

Oceanco is renowned for delivering industry-first superyachts that reflect visionary and groundbreaking ethos.

One of Oceanco’s most iconic yachts is the 106.7-meter S/Y BLACK PEARL, delivered in 2018. She is one of the world’s largest and most advanced sailing yachts, boasting a technologically advanced DynaRig sailing system, three 70-meter carbon masts, a hybrid propulsion system and a single-level engine room.

Other ground-breaking yachts include the 109-meter M/Y BRAVO EUGENIA, launched in 2018. She is Oceanco’s first LIFE Design yacht, featuring best-in-class hydrodynamic efficiency and an advanced hybrid propulsion system.

M/Y TRANQUILITY is an exquisite Oceanco yacht launched in 2013. She boasts cutting-edge cruising technology and amenities, including an ice-classed hull, marine stabilizers both while at anchor and underway, a certified helipad, and a fully equipped spa, gym, and wellness zone. She is the industry’s first 91.5-meter PYC yacht.

The Oceanco 82-meter M/Y ALFA NERO, launched in 2007, boasts the world’s first-ever multi-functional infinity pool, which can be converted to a helipad or dancefloor, showcasing the unique engineering abilities of the shipyard.
